Originating in EAST LOS ANGELES in 2005, CASA DE CALACAS is composed of a fresh and talented young group of men; guitarist and front man Luis Ignacio Mora, bassist, keyboardist, conga player, and singer Carlos Mora, singer, trumpet player Phillip Sanabria, drummer Abraham Fuerte, lead guitarist Mark Zaldivar, and saxophonist Gustavo Flores.

All band members contribute their personalized brand that is always evident in the final product. In their one and a half year experience, their maturity and professionalism has proven evident, and has won over sell-out crowds in such venues as the Temple Bar in Santa Monica, the Viper Room in Hollywood and the House of Blues on Sunset.

Their high-energy performances never fail to fuel and motivate their audience to get up and join in the celebration. From babies in the womb to teenage angst punks, college freshmen to middle-aged couples, and baby boomers to senior citizens, a Casa De Calacas show serves as a spiritual experience with the band serving as Shaman and the crowd as the tribe in search of healing.
